Story District is partnering with DC's beautiful Francis Gregory Public Library to bring a six-week storytelling workshop to the Ward 7 & 8 community that will culminate in a final performance on June 19 as part of the libary's Juneneeth celebration. Classes are free and will take place at the library from 1:30-3:30 on Wednesdays starting May 11. Space is limited and Ward 7 and 8 residents will have first dibs on spots. Please plan to commit to all 6 weeks as well as the final performance.
To kickoff the program, join us on Wednesday, April 27 at 6:30pm to hear true stories performed by of three of Story District's favorite storytellers -- Vijai Nathan, Scott Hollingsworth, and Phill Branch -- about fitting in, stolen underwear, and awkward moments. Also, meet the teacher, Story District's most senior story coach, Stephanie Garibaldi, and Story District's Director, Amy Saidman.
