Welcome Ben!

    Welcome Ben!

Bring out the cigars (or your hipster e-cigarettes), it's time to celebrate! Our new Program Coordinator, Ben Thomas, just started today, and he's already making fun of me. Good sign? Not sure, but I'm optimistic. We were incredibly lucky to have so many talented and smart people apply for this job. It was a hard decision, but Ben was our first choice because he seems ready to help us take over the world (as is our secret master plan) (Note the finger-gun power-move.) Ben is a communications and marketing professional, with extensive experience leading engagement strategies for a diverse range of political groups, non-profit organizations and private companies. He says he's excited to work to empower people to tell their own stories in a process that changes the lives of performers and audiences alike. When he is not at SpeakeasyDC, he is probably outside or concocting a culinary adventure. Feel free to ask him about the time he got a live cheetah into the U.S. Capitol Building, why he walked 500 miles in borrowed underwear, or the night he spent on Stonewall Jackson's grave.
